Right Management Consultants Names Steven Krupp, Ph.D., Senior Managing Vice President and Head of North American Consulting Practice
PHILADELPHIA, Jun 15, 2004 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Right Management Consultants, the world's largest career transition and organizational consulting firm, has named Steven Krupp, Ph.D., to the newly created position of Senior Managing Vice President of the North American Consulting practice. Krupp, 53, will assume responsibility for the firm's fast-growing organizational consulting practice in the U.S. and Canada, effective immediately.
Krupp had been a Managing Vice President at Right, with responsibility for the Mid-Atlantic region. Under his leadership, the region quadrupled its revenues in four years. Last year, he was asked to lead the Northeast and Canada. In his new North America role, he will lead a $40 million enterprise made up of 130 consultants who provide organization performance, leadership development and talent management consulting services to 80 percent of the Fortune 500s.
Among his new responsibilities will be the integration of 35 new consultants. Manpower, Inc., which acquired Right in January, will fold its consulting group, Empower, into Right, creating one of the world's largest organizational and leadership development firms. Krupp will also lead eight additional consultants from the former Manchester Associates, which Right acquired earlier this year.
"This realignment underscores the growing importance of our consulting practice to Right's overall growth," said Richard J. Pinola, CEO of Right. "Our consulting services are in very high demand around the globe, and we are looking to Steve to continue to build on the strong foundation we enjoy in North America."
Krupp said a key difference between Right and its competitors lies in the backgrounds of Right's organizational consultants. "Many of us are former business leaders ourselves, who bring a unique entrepreneurial spirit combined with 'in the trenches' experience to our consulting clients," he said. "When we consult with senior executives on leadership issues, we can deliver our counsel credibly because so many of us have led companies and corporate initiatives ourselves, before we joined Right.
"Our intellectual capital, combined with a real-world business focus and ability to connect with and respond to our client's needs, distinguishes Right in the marketplace. I look forward to leading our team to more success."
Krupp joined Right in 1999, when his boutique consulting firm, Key Management Strategies in Philadelphia, was acquired by and merged into Right. Of the 17 consulting firms that Right has acquired, the acquisition and integration of Krupp's firm has been hailed as a best practice role model at Right due to its accelerated integration and rapid, consistent growth.
Krupp holds a Master's degree ('75) and Ph.D. ('78) in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University.
